CASHVILLE : Refers to Nashville, TN. A large city in Southern USA. Known for producing top music artists, hence the name “Cashville”
We have all seen how Nashville is portrayed. Cashville’s goal is to peel away the true town. Nashville is layered, sad, funny, exciting, ugly, good and has a cultural impact on so many people. It’s a unique story waiting to be told.
CASHVILLE
Cashville follows a group of people living in Nashville. They all come from different walks of life and are all connected in someway, some obvious ways and some ways yet to be seen. Some that have made it, some are trying to make it, and all of them aren’t sure what they are doing. Our lead, TRE, hasn’t see the belly of the town yet. Along the way he meets BREN, from the outside looking in, is a successful artist. But deep down he is still struggling with being satisfied and is unsure of himself…. like everyone masquerading in Nashville. He believes he has all the talent in the world, but that hasn’t seem to get him anywhere. Something is still pushing him down…..

So what’s going to set Cashville apart?
The first thing is the integration of music. Music is what put Nashville on the map. There hasn’t been narrative content that has been written with a place for songs in mind. Sure we have seen music videos shove some dialogue lines into it, and lets be honest, that never works well. But the narrative of Cashville is keeping the music as a character and creative element, not just an afterthought.
Keeping Cashville true to Nashville locations is also important. (Not talking Broadway here.) Showcasing the true Nashville, from people and locations, artist’s collaborations, to most importantly social issues that the town and people are struggling with.
The people and city have so much to offer.
I would love to keep Cashville to three seasons and have every episode written before the first episode of season one is filmed. Start with the end in mind, keep it connected, keep it flowing.
